Our Reviews

Sylvia and Paul (and their dog, Molly) made me feel welcome when I arrived. This is an old fashioned Guest House, with a common lounge were I mixed with the other guests. Everyone was wearing their slippers, and it really had the feeling of home-away-from-home. The highlight was dinner, which is extra but well worth it, with Sylvia at her creative best in the kitchen. You couldn't eat better in a fancy restaurant (nor in the comfort of your fluffy slippers). My room was cosy and warm. The bathroom was next door, with a fluffy white robe provided. During the day I sat in the breakfast room to read, with its large windows providing a lovely view.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at Mildenhall Guest House. Tastefully decorated in a 1930s period style, spotlessly clean, with comfortable beds and good quality linen and towels, the guest house is a wonderful base from which to explore Bundanoon and its surrounds. Sylvia and Paul are warm and generous hosts, and Sylvia’s delicious hot breakfasts and home-cooked dinners strike the right balance between indulgent and healthy (plenty of fresh vegetables included!). Our dietary requirements were catered for thoughtfully. Local cafes are good for lunch (though some only serving takeaway due to COVID seating restrictions) and the beautiful garden at Mildenhall was a lovely spot to sit and eat our good takeaway sandwiches. There is also a good local Italian restaurant and the Bundanoon Hotel Bistro is also good. Mildenhall is located about 1.5km from one of the entrances to Morton National Park, and within decent driving distance of Southern Highlands wineries.
