Important Information for Guests



Terms & Conditions

All stays at Mildenhall Guest House are based on a shared room basis. Singles occupying a double room pay a slightly higher tariff. Accommodation is offered on a minimum two-night stay, however in some circumstances (eg off-peak times) a one-night stay may be possible. 


A standard breakfast is included in the accommodation package. If breakfast is not required by guests, the full price is still due. Whilst dinners are optional, as there are limited dining facilities in Bundanoon, it is highly recommended that guests book dinner on the evening(s) they stay at Mildenhall.  Dinner(s) will be at an extra cost. 


As there are no credit or Eftpos facilities at Mildenhall, payment is requested by direct debit or cash.  Once the Guest Booking form is completed and returned, an invoice will be forwarded outlining the costs.  To confirm the booking, a deposit of $100 per person is due by direct payment within 14 days of invoicing with the balance due by direct payment 14 days prior to your stay (or otherwise as arranged with the Manager).  If guests would prefer to pay the balance in cash then this may be done at check out and as discussed with the Manager. 


Any changes to your stay or cancellation of the booking are to be made 30 days prior to the booked date(s) or as arranged with the Manager. Should the changes be made less than 14 days prior to the booked date(s), the Manager reserves the right to charge the amount due in part or in full. Any changes or cancellations made before 30 days prior to the booked date(s) will be refunded at the discretion of the Manager. 


Check In/Check Out:

Check in time is after 2.00pm on a Friday (or the first day of stay). Check out time is strictly before or by 10.00am on a Sunday (or the last day of stay).  If arrangements need to be different, please consult with the Manager. In some circumstances, a surcharge per person may be incurred if unusual requests are made. It is requested that guests advise the Manager of their expected time of arrival to help with room readiness and catering purposes.



There is a small fridge available for guest’s use to keep beverages or snacks cool. Guests may arrange to have meals at the guesthouse by prior arrangement with the Manager. Guests may not bring in meals from outside the guesthouse. Where snacks are allowed to be brought onto the premises, any/all food brought onto the premises is at the risk of the guest and no responsibility is taken by Mildenhall or The Roaming Kitchen for food brought onto the premises and/or consumed by guests.


All meals at Mildenhall are provided with the highest quality food at a reasonable price. Every attempt is made to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. Therefore, it is important to notify the Manager, upon booking, of any dietary requirements.  Unfortunately, there is always a risk of contamination, but all due care is taken. There is also a possibility that manufacturers of the commercial foods used could change the formulation at any time, without notice. Guests who are concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk. No liability will be assumed for adverse reactions to food consumed, or items one may come into contact with while eating food that is provided.


Neither The Roaming Kitchen nor Mildenhall take responsibility for food items once they leave their control. The Roaming Kitchen and Mildenhall waiver all liability, including, but not limited to, liability for food spoilage arising out of the transport, refrigeration, re-heating, or handling of food by clients or event guests should food leave their control. The Roaming Kitchen and Mildenhall do not warrant that information provided by either entity, its staff or agents is all-inclusive as to the avoidance of spoilage, nor do they warrant that food products once they leave their control will not spoil.


House Rules and Etiquette

Smoking Policy:

Mildenhall has a ‘No Smoking’ Policy. Guests may not smoke inside their room or in the guesthouse at any time. Guests may smoke outside of the guesthouse at a distance of at least 10 metres and as long as it does not affect other guests.


Entry, Access and Parking:

Guests are requested to enter by the front door which is located on the open verandah side of the building. 


Guests have access to their allocated bedroom and bathroom, the lounge area, dining room and breakfast area. Guests are requested not to access the kitchen and the hosts quarters at any time.


There is sufficient parking for five guests’ vehicles. Guests are requested to park in the designated parking spots. Please ensure your vehicles are locked, as no responsibility can be taken for stolen items or stolen vehicles whilst on the premises. There is also street parking available.


Food and Drink:

Guests are able to have food and drink in the dining room, the breakfast area and the lounge room. Guests are requested not to eat or drink in the bedrooms to preserve the cleanliness of the room and its furnishings. Water is fine.


Guest’s Behaviour:

While it is hoped that guests have an enjoyable and comfortable experience at Mildenhall, it is expected that all guests display respect for other guests and to our neighbours and keep noise to a minimum. Music should be turned off by 12 midnight. Loud, offensive and/or drunken behaviour will not be tolerated. Guests who display such behaviour may be requested to leave if it disrupts other guests from enjoying their stay at Mildenhall.



While we love children, Mildenhall is offered as a retreat for adults to unwind and enjoy the pleasures of Bundanoon – good food, good wine and good company.  Children under 14 years of age are welcome under the supervision of their parents and as part of a group. Please note that children over ten years of age will pay full adult tariff.



Mildenhall Guest House is not able to accommodate pets as it is not secure.
