About Mildenhall Guest House
Mildenhall Guest House offers boutique accommodation for up to ten guests. Set in a large cottage garden in Bundanoon, Southern Highlands, the guesthouse offers comfort, warmth and high-level standards in accommodation and meals.
Many guests stay at Mildenhall from Canberra on their way to Sydney or travel from Sydney for a special occasion. They find the tranquillity and peaceful surroundings are just what they need after the fast pace of city life.
There are many things to do in the Southern Highlands and especially in Bundanoon, such as art, antique and second-hand shops, markets, cafes and restaurants, wineries, open gardens, Morton National Park, side trips to the surrounding areas such as Fitzroy Falls, Robertson and Burrawang villages, or a beautiful drive along the escarpment towards the coast through Kangaroo Valley.
Mildenhall is very well located; only a 160m stroll from Bundanoon village with its quaint shops, cafes, railway station and local services. Many activities during the year are located in the Memorial Hall and guests can walk to this and many annual events, such as Brigadoon, Winterfest, Garden Ramble, Tango BASH and others.
The guesthouse is graced by many lovely spaces that are ideal for enjoying a coffee and a good book, a chat with friends or a glass of wine with nibbles. The breakfast area provides the perfect vantage point for viewing the garden or spying the many varied birds that stop to feed.
Weekend packages run from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning and include two night’s accommodation plus two breakfasts per person. Midweek accommodation can be arranged from Monday to Thursday (doesn’t include public holidays).
Mildenhall is perfect for a quiet weekend away with your partner or with a group of friends or family who may require the whole house for a special occasion. Special celebrations can be catered for, so please speak with the Manager.
Half way between Sydney and Canberra, Mildenhall offers fine food, peaceful surrounds and comfortable hospitality. We would love to see you and hope you come and visit soon.
About the Hosts
Sylvia and Paul have owned Mildenhall Guest House for over six years.
Throughout her 30 year working career, in the legal and human services sectors, Sylvia honed the skills learnt to offer a place where guests are looked after from the first contact to when they leave. She enjoys giving special attention to every guest and wants them to feel welcomed, comfortable and special. The personal touch is highly important for her to do just that. Sylvia loves to cook the meals at Mildenhall and really enjoys guests taking pleasure in the dishes she produces. She wants to create a place of peace and serenity where guests choose to return because they loved the place as much as she does.
Paul has worked in the legal sector for over 40 years and finds working at Mildenhall Guest House to be a creative outlet and likes to help Sylvia in the kitchen. He has become a very adept sous chef.
