Mildenhall is a lovingly restored country guesthouse set in a large cottage garden in Bundanoon, New South Wales, only minutes away from Morton National Park.
The 1930s weatherboard house is graced by a wide verandah, an
ideal place to enjoy a coffee and a good book. The enclosed verandah also serves as a breakfast room and is the perfect vantage point for spying the many varied parrots that stop to feed. Oregon panelling wraps the walls of the house, and when fires are lit in the lounge
and dining rooms it creates a warm atmosphere that fosters easy conversation and relaxed comfort.
Looking out across the lawn, Mildenhall is screened by tall trees that remind you of the bushland to be explored in the nearby national park. Many guests take to the walking tracks in the early morning, knowing they can return to savour a hearty late breakfast or brunch.
Owner Karen Henry loves cooking and is equally proficient at formal dinners and casual, buffet style breakfasts. Meal times are flexible to match guest activities.
Mildenhall has four double guest bedrooms, including a king size suite, three queen suites (one with an ensuite bathroom) and a delightful twin room. Mildenhall is perfect for a quiet weekend away with your partner or a group of friends requiring a whole house for a special celebration.
Weekend packages run from Friday night to Sunday brunch and include two night’s accommodation for two, two dinners and two breakfasts. Saturday night is a special gourmet affair, and Sunday brunch will leave you wishing you could stay longer.
Close to Sydney and Canberra for a short stay, Mildenhall offers fine food, comfort and peaceful hospitality.
